Monday October 3rd day 23


This is going to have to get serious to pull it off!

Not bad, better than the Kirkland bars, but not as good as the one on Saturday.

10:00 Fiber One bar

A bit low on the calories, but at least I got enough protein in. You don’t want to go under 1000 calories a day or your body will go into starvation mode and try to hold on to as much fat as it can, as opposed to burning fat. I’m going to try to stay about 1300-1500 calories a day this weeks, and way over 100 grams of protein to help avoid muscle loss. The last 5 pounds is usually the toughest!

Tuesday October 4th day 24

I was a little low on Protein today from swapping in a few Cliff bars today. I really like them, and find them very filling! But they are a bit lacking in the protein (and higher in carbs). A really good trick is to keep some in your car/backpack/purse in case you get stuck looking for food! They aren’t the healthiest things ever, but they are far better than 99% of what you might get at a drive thru.

Today was our annual cancer benefit, and I had a few beers! We managed to raise over $2900 for the American Cancer Society! And I managed to avoid eating afterwards, which is really where bad food choices can kick in.
